Plains is looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated, and skilled individual to join the Corporate Planning Team.

Are you highly skilled in management report generation? Do you like digging into the data to understand the story behind variance analysis? Then this temporary role is for you You will be responsible for the preparation of monthly/quarterly financial schedules and analysis in a timely and accurate manner.


Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with other departments to gather and share forecasting information
  • Handle adhoc queries to produce custom reports
  • Analyze financial data and use financial models for forecasting
  • Perform comparison between Actual/Plan/Forecast data to identify key variances and evaluate historical performance
  • Liaise with cross functional teams to determine business drivers for performance variances
  • Assist with gathering and identifying comments explaining variances to Forecast and/or Plan estimates.
  • Produce variance reporting and commentary on business performance vs Forecast and/or Plan for Sr Management
  • Validate that planning data being populated via integration with other systems is complete and accurate
  • Contribute to process review and improvement to drive better content, efficiency, and accuracy in monthly reporting
  • Complete various recurring monthly reports to support management reporting schedules
  • Ad hoc tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Professional accounting designation (CPA) required;
  • A minimum 5 years related work experience in budgeting and planning;
  • Advanced computer skills, specifically Microsoft Excel;
  • Excellent communication skills to facilitate working relationships with multiple departments;
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills;
  • Ability to complete tasks and responsibilities within established deadlines;
  • Cleared criminal history (background) and satisfactory reference checks.
