Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Buyer to support our Procurement Department. This is an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, multi-plant manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in day-to-day purchasing activities, including placing purchase orders and ensuring timely delivery.
- Support procurement strategies for categories such as packaging, PPE, and raw materials.
- Daily and week tonnage report to the farms
- Daily receiving of compost raw materials
- Day to day management of Limble to include inventory management and maintenance planning
- Monitor supplier performance and help resolve delivery or quality issues.
- Analyze inventory and consumption data to support demand forecasting.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure procurement aligns with business needs.
- Help maintain accurate procurement documentation and support ERP system updates (Sage X3 will be added advantage).
- Participate in cost-saving initiatives and supply chain improvement projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Being able to work under pressure
- Basic knowledge of stock & inventory management
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with procurement software is a plus.
