Associate, Corporate Ratings - Leveraged Finance
Grade/Level ( relevant for internal applicants only ): 11
The Location:

The Team:
The Leveraged Finance team comprises analysts predominantly based out New York but also with analytical presence in Toronto.
The team works closely with the credit estimates team which serves the critical middle market CLO market and other smaller leveraged loan issuers.
The interactions are largely internal, though while working on credit estimate side, there are several opportunities to speak with CLO Managers explaining our CE rationale and our methodology There is tremendous opportunity to learn accounting, doing credit spreads, review credit agreement and understand fundamental of credit analysis.
The Impact:
As an Associate you will work on helping develop research on the leveraged finance side. You will also review Credit Estimate performed by junior analysts and work on complicated credit estimates.
The Credit Estimate analyses you produce will be used by other S&P teams to rate Collateralized Loan Obligations, and by our clients to evaluate the credit quality of their overall loan portfolios.

Responsibilities:
On the Leveraged Finance side, you will work on projects, research and other investor presentations and deck.
On the Credit Estimates Associate you will play a senior role in the team, training new analysts and developing process and procedures.
You will handle client calls with junior analyst on analytical and methodological issuesWhat We're Looking For:
Basic Qualifications
Four to Five years of commercial credit analytical experience
Masters in finance/MBA and or CFA
Excellent Excel and Power Point
Strong analytical skills, including financial statement and quantitative analysis
Excellent writing and oral communication skills
Strong attention to detail

Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $85,700 to $170,400. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
