The job involves maintaining city parks and boulevards. The successful candidate will be responsible for cutting, trimming and grass cutting inspections.Maintaining sports fields conducting back stop repairs and warning fence repairs repairing and replacing pitchers rubbers and home plates rebuilding pitchers mounds to a specific grade grading infields warning tracks repairing furniture benches bleachers lining boxes determining sports field playability opening sport field gates turning on lights conducting sports field inspections hand shoveling sand bridges steps walkways erecting inspecting repairing snow fences maintaining outdoor ice rinks which includes installing repairing boards removals inspections may conduct inspections of snow clearing ice control recreational trails parking lots maintaining garbage barrels litter picking cleaning park land cemeteries yards maintain inventories supplies coordinates distribution supplies maintain playgrounds parks washroom facilities painting bench repairs tennis court repairs cement work lining box refilling park fence repairs water course cleanup sign repairs installation special events staging pickup delivery hand delivering fliers goal posts foul posts jobs involving hand tools edge raising flat cemetery markers assist burials asphalt performing Integrated Pest management activities monitoring inspection maintenance invasive species citywide including woodlots trees shrubs watercourses hard surfaces turfgrass performs additional related duties as required.
