TITLE:
Social Media Assistant


POSITION OVERVIEW:

Works closely with 'Social Media Coordinator' and 'Videographer & Social Media Producer' to create engaging content that connects with various audiences, including photo and videos, and interacting with students.

The Social Media Assistant is also responsible for keeping social media channels up to date and following brand identity.

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Postsecondary Education in Social Media Marketing
  • 1+ years of experience in a Social Media Marketing capacity or role
  • Excellent knowledge of social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn and Twitter;
  • Highly organized with strong ability to take initiative and complete tasks;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal & relationship building skills;
  • Exceptional writing and composition skills with high attention to detail for proofreading and copywriting;

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Respond to comments on social networks in a professional manner
  • Write captions for social media posts
  • Create new content and identify areas for growth for incoming traffic
  • Be a production assistant on set for all video and photo shoots;
  • Supervising the editing and updating of campus TV content;
  • Assists with Social Booths, filming and editing of social media photos;
  • Design posters for social media, website and print to place on campus;
  • Professional ability to take photos at events and activities on and off campus
  • Other duties as assigned by the Social Media Coordinator, Videographer and Social Media Producer and Web Division Manager
