As well, alumni participate in an important alumni-student mentorship program for third- and fourth-year students to assist UC students make connections to help them succeed in achieving their career objectives. We are also home to professors from a range of disciplines who are leading researchers in their fields, and are committed to undergraduate education. Your responsibilities will include:
- Implementing programs that allow current students and alumni to engage with one another
- Building and strengthening relationships with stakeholders and partners of strategic importance
- Fostering positive relationships with alumni
- Responding to enquiries within the defined scope of the role and redirecting as appropriate
- Coordinating marketing project activities with creative professionals and vendors
- Conceptualizing, organizing and executing event activities
- Handling expenses for events
- Serving as a resource to a group or on a function
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent education and experience.
- Minimum three (3) years of relevant experience in advancement, preferably in an educational or nonprofit setting, with a proven track record of success in promoting alumni involvement and working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience working directly with ARBOR, Raiser's Edge or related system.
- Experience in tracking purchases against set budget and a proven track record of building programs.
- Experience planning and organizing events.
- Demonstrated experience and success in generating and realizing concepts to engage alumni.
- Experience creating communications materials.
- Experience in overseeing multiple projects and meet deadlines, with thorough attention to detail and consistent follow through.
- Excellent business acumen and strategic aptitude.
- Advanced and proven (oral and written) communication skills with the ability to draft, proofread and edit a range of written material.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and professional presence necessary to interact with alumni, senior volunteers and stakeholders.
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- Welldeveloped skills in MS Office, database software and web content management systems.
- Strong organizational skills.

- Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel within the GTA.
