    Description

    As a Manager-General Accounting, your role will be to oversee the Close, Consolidate, Report and Corporate general accounting activities. You will ensure timely, accurate and complete internal and external financial reporting to the various stakeholders. This is a 14-month fixed term role.

  • Your Responsibilities:

  • Ability to ensure timely, accurate and complete external financial reporting to the various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee the corporate accounting and close, consolidate and report functions such that they produce quality, accurate and complete financial results.
  • Month end reporting of summary financial results to senior leadership.
  • Review of external financial statements and financial analysis on a quarterly basis within required timelines.
  • Review of reconciliations and journal entries, where applicable, to ensure validity, accuracy and completeness of financial reporting.
  • Review of annual tax packages for corporate entities.
  • Ensure that unusual and complex transactions are properly documented and recorded. This will involve collaborating with various cross functional teams to ensure the transactions are accurately represented.
  • Review and approval of cheque and wire transactions weekly.
  • Ensure that the team is consistently performing all relevant internal controls, as well as quarterly reviews and updates of respective internal control documentation.
  • Provide leadership on various ad hoc finance projects and initiatives.
  • Provide mentorship and feedback to direct reports.
  • Your Skills :

  • Your Experience:

  • Post-secondary education/equivalent with practical experience
  • Financial Accounting designation (CPA)
  • 5+ years accounting experience
  • Experience leading teams
