    Position Details

    What You Will Do

  • Design and deliver quality system solutions that meet business requirements and are compliant with regulatory guidelines
  • Lead large and complex transformative business initiatives involving system and process changes
  • Act as a lead technical resource, responsible for technical design, development, and testing
  • Resolve technical issues and deliver appropriate solutions
  • Regularly make informed decisions in complex situations from end-to-end, with limited direction from Business Solutions Group Leadership
  • Provide education, counsel, and advice on both internal and external projects/opportunities as appropriate
  • Identify, develop, document, and execute testing strategies with acceptance criteria to validate business requirements
  • Produce quality documents including business processes and controls, requirements and specifications, test plans, and user guides
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources to understand business needs
  • Apply expert elicitation techniques to probe, challenge and understand business problems
  • Assess risk by identifying potential exposures and the volatility, likelihood, consequences, time horizon and correlation associated with the risk
  • Develop and maintain key stakeholder relationships
  • Support Project Managers and leadership throughout all phases of the project management lifecycle
  • Create technical design documents, deployment guides, configuration guides where applicable
  • Work with team members and key stakeholders to coordinate dependencies across initiatives, ensuring all cross-functional requirements are delivered on time
  • Provide On-call Support for Investigation and Resolution of system issues and inquiries
  • Stay up to date on industry and technical trends through participation in professional associations, practice communities & individual learning
  • Support leadership in the development and roll-out of strategic initiatives
  • Who You Are

  • CIP or Post-secondary education in business or information technology management preferred
  • 3 years experience in Business Analysis, elicitation and documentation of requirements
  • 3+ years software development or technical consulting experience
  • Proficient in programming or scripting languages such as HTML, XML, Java and Java Script
  • Experienced with SmartComm including use of Advance Template Designer (ATD) and Data Modeler, or similar document creation systems
  • Experience participating in defect triage meetings with Business Analysts, Developers, Testing team, and Business Subject Matter Experts
  • Experience with user acceptance testing, including creation of test strategies, plans, and execution in an agile environment
  • Prior Auto, Property, Travel Insurance experience
