Laurentian Bank is undergoing a major transformation, and we need reinforcements.
Within the Securitization team at Laurentian Bank, proudly part of the Corporate Treasury group, we finance more than 30% of the Bank's activities, and this role is expected to grow even further given the Bank's current context.

We are looking for someone who thinks big, places great importance on attention to detail, and is able to manage tight deliverables. The successful candidate will join a dynamic, high-performing team where communication, initiative, and teamwork are key to achieving our objectives.

The incumbent will actively contribute as a strategic partner within Corporate Treasury and will interact directly with multiple internal and external counterparties. The Senior Analyst will participate actively in operations and help guide team decisions to optimize the various programs under the team's responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Support the Assistant Vice-President in the management and execution of existing securitization programs, such as the National Housing Act Mortgage-Backed Securities (NHA MBS) program, the Canada Mortgage Bonds (CMB) program, and other securitization programs
• Participate in the monthly operational activities required across the various securitization conduits
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase the efficiency of securitization programs and minimize operational risk
• Assist and participate in monitoring markets and the regulatory framework to ensure the Bank complies with all applicable rules and guidelines
• Work with the Finance group on planning, forecasting, and analysis of the balance sheet and income statement related to securitization activities
• Analyze transaction costs and monitor monthly performance

Qualifications

• One to three years of experience within a financial institution, a bank treasury, or a mortgage loan underwriting function
• University degree in a relevant field (Finance, Economics, Accounting, etc.); professional designations (CFA, FRM, etc.) are considered assets
• Knowledge of securitization processes, secured funding structures, and legal documentation is an asset
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in both French and English
• Strong Excel skills; ability to create macros and use VBA; software proficiency required
• Motivated, meticulous, self-driven individual that works well in a team
• Required Qulification - Professional working proficiency in French and English languages required as position involves frequent written and oral communication on complex matters with internal and external parties in both languages
