What is this role responsible for?

• Set up Edgebander according to job specifications, including adjusting feed speed, cutter heads, and pressure settings.
• Perform proper set-up and calibration procedures for all equipment and accessories to be used on projects.
• Prepare raw materials for edgebanding, ensuring they meet quality standards and dimensions specified for the job.
• Monitor the edgebanding process to ensure finished products meet quality standards, including inspecting for defects, proper edge alignment, and adherence of edgebanding material.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on the Edgebander, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or damaged parts as needed to ensure optimal performance.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues with the Edgebander during operation, such as machine jams, feed inconsistencies, or blade dullness, and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following lockout/tagout procedures.
• Work efficiently to meet production goals and deadlines, optimizing machine settings and minimizing downtime for changeovers or maintenance.
• Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision.

What is required for this role?

• 2+ years experience working on an Edgebander or similar machine.
• 2+ years experience in manufacturing.
• Must be organized and able to prioritize work activities based upon primary duties.
• Is inquisitive by nature and driven by the "pursuit of excellence" to consistently ensure constant growth and achievement.
• Demonstrates good initiative working safely, reporting and participating in Environmental Health and Safety.
