THE ROLE

The Partnerships and Vendor Relationships Specialist is to oversee the existing portfolio of CANEX Marketplace Affinity Partnerships ensuring continuity, growth, and successful program management.


They will manage and maintain national partnerships for CANEX Marketplace, and assist in tracking, monitoring, and coordinating the accrual and revenues/ dividends to achieve revenue targets.

They will understand each partner's specific strategic needs, and evaluate new or enhanced service delivery, marketing opportunities, and the associated profitability and risk.

They will prepare market research analysis to increase the effectiveness of partnerships and programs to meet the changing needs of partners, colleagues, and customers.

In addition, the person in this role should be comfortable with basic marketing and program management principals. They will ensure annual negotiations and renewals are ratified, as well as all contractual deliverables are met.

They will work closely with CANEX and Corporate Marketing teams, as well as many other CFMWS divisions where applicable.

This individual will prepare and deliver presentations and reports on portfolio challenges/opportunities and provide recommendations to senior leadership.


QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED Education, Certifications and Licenses**College diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, Merchandising or a related discipline AND several years of experience in category management, marketing, business development, or progressive retail experience


Experience
In coordinating the operations and delivery of marketing and promotional programs for retail products and/or services

In invoice processing and purchase orders

In project management

In preparing reports

In budget administration

In planning and conducting training and presentations

Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.

OTHER INFORMATION

This position has an assigned location and may allow flexible work options such as remote or hybrid work but the employee must be able to report to the assigned work location at their own cost if required.

Remote work may be required depending on health and safety considerations.
