The Opportunity:


We are looking for a
Team Leader, Mechanical Maintenance to join our team, based in at the Irving Pulp & Paper Mill in Saint John, NB.


In this role, you will work closely with planners, operators, and mechanical / E&I tradespersons to ensure the safe and efficient execution of mechanical jobs.

You will be part of a cross functional area team, managing day to day schedules, break in work, and weekly schedules and targets.

The team you lead will be responsible for execution of daily planned work, planned area / department shutdowns and periodic mill wide planned shutdowns.

I addition, break in work will be managed and executed while maintaining overall ongoing priorities.

Areas of responsibility will include continuous digester plant, brown stock washing bleach plant and associated auxiliaries.

  • Safety Leadership
  • Work Order Administration
  • Materials Management
  • Daily Maintenance Scheduling
  • Maintenance Crew Supervision and Leadership
  • Payroll Data Validation
  • Identification of training needs and allocation of resources
  • Human Capitol Resource Management
  • Budgeting, Cost Control and Reliability

Requirements:


  • Education Required: Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technologist, or Journeyman Tradesperson or equivalent.
  • Years of
Experience Required: 3-5 years of supervisory experience in Maintenance or Reliability in heavy industry

  • Safety Leadership
knowledge & experience

  • Supervisory experience in heavy industry setting
  • Maintenance Experience
  • CMMS Experience, ideally with JD Edwards/Oracle
