Position description
The Jewish General Hospital is one of McGill's major teaching hospitals affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Canada's internationally renowned McGill University, located in the vibrant and multicultural city of Montreal, in the province of Quebec.
The Jewish General Hospital is also part of the Integrated Health and Social Services University Network for West-Central Montreal (CIUSSS West-Central Montreal), a large integrated network comprising specialty hospitals, rehabilitation centres, long term care facilities, and other health-related resources.
In 2023, for the third year in a row, the JGH was named among Canada's best employers, according to a Forbes magazine survey, as well as being acknowledged as one of the best hospitals in the world by Newsweek magazine.
The Jewish General Hospital sees over 90,000 visits/year, is one of the busiest adult emergency departments in Quebec, with a high acuity of varied pathology, and is a centre of excellence in Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS).
As such, we are responsible for supervising medical students and residents from both CCFP-EM and FRCP emergency medicine training programs as well as off-service residents in Family Medicine.
We are very involved in academia and medico-administrative work.Job Duties
