Overview:
The Advanced Product Quality Planning Coordinator is assigned to lead the APQP efforts for the manufacturing facility in Chatham Ontario.
The coordinator ensures that APQP methodologies and tools are used throughout the product development phases to meet Customer requirements and expectations.
The coordinator will ensure that all elements of PPAP are completed and on time submission is achieved.Principle Responsibilities/ Accountabilities
- Provides project management deployment of Advanced Product Quality Planning.
- Attends internal corporate lead Program Gate reviews to understand overall program demands.
- Develops APQP timeline for the Manufacturing site.
- Schedules and runs Plant level APQP meetings to keep the team on schedule.
- Monitors, tracks, and ensures the completion of program milestones.
- Escalates issues timely and appropriately.
- Develops effective working relationships with internal and external customers to support the APQP process and approach.
- Monitors and reports the success of program launches and on time PPAP submission. (KPI)
- Ensures all elements of PPAP are completed and contained in program folders.
- Ensures Core Documents are completed, aligned, and approved. (PFLOW, PFMEA, CP..)
- Submits PPAP documentation per Customer requirements.
- Receives and approves or rejects Supplier PPAP submissions.
- Completes IMDS entries in accordance with program timing.
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:
- Program management fundamentals
- At least 2 year's experience in the automotive manufacturing sector.
- Certified in or knowledge of Automotive Core Tools (PFMEA, PPAP, MSA, APQP, Control Plan).
- IMDS Experience would be an asset.
- SPC Experience would be an asset
- Attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and time management skills.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office software, Excel, Word, Power point, Project.
- Ability to keep work area neat and clean and eliminate potential hazards.
- Ability to conform to company policies/ procedures and OSHA standards with the goal of zero safety related incidents.

- Front desk: 1 year (preferred)
- Administrative experience: 1 year (preferred)
