Job descriptionJob Purpose:
Assemble cables/Mechanical assemblies according to the assembly instructions provided.
Production Duties:
- Installation of Mechanical components using tools provided
- Understanding of torquing requirements
- Crimp contacts onto wire using hand crimper or pneumatic tool as specified, as needed
- Assemble cables according to schematics/ assembly instructions
- Work as a team to assist other technicians when required.
- Other related duties as required or assigned.
- May involve some heavy lifting as required.
Skills/Qualifications (preferred but not required):
- Crimping, Soldering, Stripping and Cutting Cable
- Mechanical Aptitude
- Problemsolving skills (i.e. identify problem causes; determine steps to resolve; assess solution)
- Communicate clearly, strong listening skills and ability to follow instructions
Educational/Experience Requirements:
- High School diploma
- Electronics Technology background and education an asset.
- Suitable job related experience
- Training provided including IPC training
Job Types:
