Global Banking & Markets provides a full range of investment banking, credit and risk management products and services relevant to the financing and strategic development needs of our clients.

Our products include debt and equity financing, mergers & acquisitions, corporate banking, institutional equity sales, trading and research, fixed income products, derivatives, energy, foreign exchange and precious & metals.

We also cross-sell the full range of wholesale products and services offered by the Scotiabank Group. Global Wholesale Operations is the Operations group that supports the Bank's capital markets business.


Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Be supporting numerous products across numerous business lines
  • Have an opportunity to gain handson learning experience within the Operations trade lifecycle, in a global team
  • Have an opportunity to be placed specifically in one of the following functional areas:
  • Client Onboarding
  • Settlements and Clearing
  • Confirmations
  • Asset Servicing, Middle Office, and Tax Operations
  • Operations Control
  • Corporate Credit Services
  • Trade Finance Operations
  • Operations Change
  • Business and Performance Management

Do you have the skills and requirements that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if:

  • You are currently enrolled in post-secondary education.
  • You love to learn and envision yourself working for an international organization that heavily invests in your future.
  • You enjoy being involved in extracurricular activities such as conferences, clubs, competitions, and/or hackathons.
  • Demonstrated interest and knowledge in the financial markets
  • Proven record of outstanding achievement in academic and extracurricular activities
