In your role, you will:

  • Manage a team of industrialization professionals with the objective of standardizing practices, industrializing Bombardier's future platforms and defining an innovation roadmap in manufacturing systems. The scope of this role is to define the major strategic industrial orientations across all the company's sites.
  • Be a pioneer in innovation by staying uptodate with emerging manufacturing technologies.
  • Be responsible for the industrialization of our future platforms and contribute to the establishment of the manufacturing strategy during the prelaunch process.
  • Evaluate emerging manufacturing technologies in terms of their potential benefits for future aircraft and establish an adoption plan in coordination with the definition groups.
  • Provide strategic direction for the improvement of the company's financial performance through the implementation of industrialization projects, including Industry 4.0 initiatives, and the standardization of best practices across all manufacturing sites.
  • Ensure the involvement of crossfunctional teams in projects (including site industrialization teams, engineering and R&D, operations, supply chain, operational excellence, IT).
  • Communicate project objectives, goals and progress to directors, executives, senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develop and improve the department's tools & processes and influence the organization to ensure their adoption in the most effective way possible.
  • Be responsible for the performance and commitment of the professionals reporting to you.
  • Ensure the development of your employees, both in terms of their organizational and professional skills.

Qualifications

  • You have a minimum of ten (10) years' experience in a highly complex assembly manufacturing environment, preferably in aerospace, and a minimum of five (5) years in a management role; experience in a product launch context is desirable.
  • You have a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering (industrial, mechanical, aerospace, etc.).
  • You demonstrate leadership skills and an interest in developing others.
  • You have strong business acumen, flexibility and adaptability in a constantly changing environment.
  • You have an expertise in industrialization, manufacturing and development of aeronautical structures.
  • You are passionate about the future of the aerospace industry and have a strong enthusiasm for Industry 4.0's capacity for improvement.
  • You have a good understanding of product costing and finance.
  • You have a good knowledge of the aerostructure supply chain, from raw material to complex assemblies, and have a practical understanding of the key factors for a make/buy strategy.
  • You have the ability to produce highquality synthetic documents reflecting your strong analytical skills.
  • You have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • You have strong interpersonal skills and are a team player.
  • You have experience of working in an international environment, collaborating with people in remote locations.
  • You are proficient in English and French, both written and spoken.
  • You have knowledge of the Office 365 environment, including all collaboration tools such as SharePoint and Teams, MS-Excel and PowerPoint skills are required, MS-Project is an asset.
