Position Summary


Under the direction and supervision of the EUTC Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for client inquiries, intakes both in person and over the phone.

Greeting individuals and explaining the EUTC services and for maintaining in-house resource and client information on housing, employment, training, education, health, emergency food/shelter, addictions, cultural for display on office bulletin.

The Client Intake worker will provide security for the Eagle Urban Transition Centre office, clients, and staff.


Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to external and internal inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Screen incoming client calls and refer to appropriate staff.
  • Assist clients with completion of forms.
  • Assist clients in locating outside community resources if needed.
  • Assist clients with EUTC resources, i.e.; computer lab, healing room, copying, faxing;
  • Provide administrative support as needed to other staff members.
  • Ensure current updated urban service providers listing, employment opportunities, housing lists and training opportunities information is updated on the EUTC bulletin board on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Monitor client computer activities.
  • Computer area cleaning, wiping down/sanitizing computers, and surrounding areas at the end of the day.
  • Distributes client mail.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Certificate and/or related training in administrative duties.
  • Experience with data entry.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Be able to follow office practices, procedures, and confidentiality.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office software, Word, Excel, and Outlook, with a typing speed of 50 wpm.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
  • Ability to work independently, cooperatively and as part of a team.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail and analyzing information.
  • Punctual, dependable, and reliable.
  • Adhere to AMC policies and procedures with specific attention to attendance, and professional ethics.
