EnviCore is actively seeking a skilled and adept Mineral Processing Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic team.As a Mineral Processing Laboratory Technician at EnviCore, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our R&D through precise sample preparation, testing, lab maintenance, and operational tasks to manufacture SCMs from waste minerals.
Responsibilities:
Sample Preparation:
Conduct precise sample preparation from raw rock materials, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
Method Validation and Troubleshooting:
Validate and troubleshoot newly developed in-house analytical methods to enhance the reliability of research results.
Lab Support and Preventive Maintenance:
Proactively contribute to lab support tasks and preventive maintenance, ensuring optimal functionality of equipment and facilities.
Data Integrity and Traceability:
Maintain comprehensive records of all generated data, upholding the integrity and traceability of research findings.
Collaborative Work Environment:
Foster a collaborative atmosphere through seamless teamwork with colleagues, sharing knowledge and insights.
Quality Control and Inventory Management:
Participate in basic quality control procedures and effectively manage lab inventory.
Record-Keeping and Safety Compliance:
Uphold meticulous record-keeping practices while adhering to quality and safety protocols.
Equipment Accuracy and Calibration:
Ensure the accuracy and proper calibration of laboratory testing equipment.
Routine Equipment Inspections:
Perform routine inspections on lab equipment to identify maintenance needs promptly.
Qualifications:
Education:
Diploma or a bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in Chemical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
Experience:
Previous experience in a laboratory setting, not exceeding 3 years, with a preference for mineral processing expertise.
Mechanical Skills:
Comfort working with mechanical equipment involved in crushing and grinding processes.
Physical Capability:
Ability to lift and move up to 20 kg of materials unassisted.
Software Proficiency:
Proficient in relevant computer software such as Microsoft Suite and Google Sheets for data collection and entry.
Salary:
$25.00-$30.00 per hour
