The goal of CIBC's Capital Markets business is to be the premier client-focused Capital Markets based in Canada.
To deliver on this, the capital markets arm of CIBC provides a wide range of credit, capital markets, investment banking, merchant banking and research products and services to government, institutional, corporate and retail clients in Canada and in key markets around the world.
The Client Data Management and Process Re-engineering (CDM&PR) team within Capital Markets has the mandate to onboard funds, shared clients and broker counterparties as well as to manage a robust and effective client lifecycle management process for clients.
The CDM&PR team is also responsible for client data and account remediation initiatives primarily related to domestic and international regulatory reporting regimes.
The team conducts its activities through internal and external research and interaction with numerous stakeholders including, Salespeople & Relationship Managers, Legal Documentation, Credit, Operations teams.
Direct client contact may also be involved.What You'll Be Doing

Change management- Work closely with Technology Partners and other stakeholders to guide formulation of business requirements and solution discussions to meet project needs.- Support project planning, impact assessment, SIT, UAT, BAT testing.- Run regular meetings and walkthroughs with stakeholders (Legal, Client Services, Front Office, Regulatory operations, Corporate Banking, etc.), technology partners and internal operations teams
Client Data Analytics- Plan and collaborate with a diverse team to create and build flexible, innovative solutions that address client data remediation and future data quality.- Work closely with partners to guide formulation of requirements and solution design to meet project needs. Ensure remediation activities are progressing to meet CIBC and regulatory deadlines.
Relationship Management- Effectively manage relationships with internal stakeholders, including Senior Management in Front Office, as well as Legal, Compliance, Technology and Operations stakeholders- Implement the required solutions, processes and procedures to ensure effectiveness in, or improve, the client data and reporting function.
Who You Are- Experience years of work experience ideally within Capital Markets or Financial Institution industry in the area(s) of Client Onboarding, Change Management and Client Data Analysis.
Adaptable, flexible and willing to work in a dynamic environment.- Execution_: A proven track record of effective execution and achieving results.
A "can do" attitude is a must with a passion for driving solutions. Excellent research, analysis and documentation skills to collect, validate and consolidate the required data/information into appropriate formats.Must be vigilant in delivering results, have strong attention to details, and focus on overcoming obstacles- Readily able to leverage technology to drive results and efficiencies.- Strong relationship management skills with a focus on customer service.
