The Food and Beverage department at the Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club is committed to

JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the management of the Food and Beverage service areas including all
employees who work in those areas.
Trains and manages all Food and Beverage employees with assistance of the supervisors.
Maintains bar and dining room inventory and is responsible for ordering supplies.
Supports the F &B areas when required with supervision and assistance.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Excellent customer service and employee relations skills
- Strong supervisory/leadership skills
- Mentor the team to deliver a polished service experience
- Knowledge in the proper use of cleaning and sanitation chemicals
- Knowledge of tending bar, cashiering, hosting, bussing, and service
- Good cash handling skills
- Ability to work a varied schedule
- Must have knowledge of pos systems, ADP and related scheduling procedures.
- Ability to work as part of a management team
- Strong customer service skills
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Manages and trains the serving staff
- Handles member relations
- Sets work schedules for service employees
- Orders and maintains inventories for all bar and dining room supplies
- Verifies service employees' ADP hours
- Observes and evaluates employees' performances to devise methods for
- Recommends hiring or termination of personnel to management
- Works closely with the kitchen staff to maintain food quality and a smooth flow
- Works with the chefs to facilitate meal requests
- Responsible for timely menu and wine list changes
- Implement and monitor control procedures
- Organizes all service delivery for all member & nonmember events
GENERAL
- Reports to the Director of Food and Beverage and is accountable for results in all
- Acts when required as the clubhouse communication lead with the pro shop,
- Develops effective industry networks.
- Attends Health and Safety committee meetings as management representative
- Exemplifies the service standard for the clubhouse
- Maintain teamwork and good work ethics with your colleagues and all other
- Have a complete understanding of the Club policies, collective agreement, rules
- Be aware of the basic rules of sanitation and hygiene, safety, breakage and
- Practice safe work habits and know and understand the Health and Safety policy
- Treats all employees with respect and attempts to have a good working
