Position Description:

Here's What You'll Get To Do:

Liaise with clients for the design, planning and management of their sequencing projects.
Determine cost effective ways to reach scientific goals of projects.
Ensure projects comply with ethical and legal requirements and interface with Research Ethics Board (REB) and Legal Services as required.
Work closely with the laboratory staff to ensure proper project execution and completion.
Liaise with TCAG Informatics facility regarding data analysis and delivery.
Review billing reports to ensure consistency with billing requirements
Evaluate new sequencing technologies/protocols for inclusion in TCAG's service offerings.

Here's What You'll Need:

PhD in genetics, genomics, molecular biology, or other related biological discipline.
Minimum of five (5) years of practical laboratory experience in molecular biology techniques.
Experience in the operation of Illumina sequencers is required; other sequencing platforms will be considered an asset.
Previous experience in a core facility or similar service lab, as well as experience in a highthroughput genomics environment (genome centre).
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet critical deadlines is essential.
Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently and have a cooperative and serviceoriented attitude.
Familiarity with laboratory information management systems will be considered an asset.
Excellent English language verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to rigorously document progress.

Temporary, Full-Time (one year contract)
