Job Title:
General Manager

Business-y Summary:

The General Manager (GM) is responsible for overseeing The Art Farm's administrative, financial planning, and logistics activities.

This includes human resource management (talent and culture), event coordination, project processes and forms, policy and procedures, and financial oversight.

This role is not remote and will be based out of the Art Farm Hub just outside of Langdale (about 2 km from the ferry terminal going towards
Port Mellon). It is important that the GM work on site to ensure there is a stable point of contact on the Art
Farm for staff, contractors, collaborators, and visitors.

The GM is responsible for:
- communications amongst staff and contractors,

- management of the office and studios,
- oversight of staff and task delegation.

The GM works closely with the Executive Director (ED). Both the ED and the GM keep a 'bird's eye view' of the organization and all Art Farm programming.

The ED focuses on long term visioning, fundraising, programmatic/artistic direction, and the board, while the GM is more focused on running Art Farm operations, financial oversight, and leading staff communication and engagement.

They are unafraid to speak up when there is a need to pull back (self care) while supporting the team as we push ourselves, consistently, a bit out of our comfort zones with each project.
