About the Opportunity:


The Financial Analyst will report to the Manager of Finance and provide financial analytical support for the NSH One Person One Record (OPOR) Financial Management Office.

The Financial Analyst will be assigned accountability for day-to-day analytical work and strategic initiatives including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations, claims preparation, support to clinicians and leaders, and including projects, process work, committees, etc.

This work will involve collaboration amongst and across the OPOR and Finance teams, Registration & Admitting, IT, and Clinical Teams.

The Financial Analyst provides proactive expertise and advice in conducting analysis and developing recommendations to support business decision making, process improvements, dissemination of accurate and timely reports, AR claims expertise, reducing business risks, influence cash conversion and support revenue assurance, including assisting in the development of financial information for business cases to support improvements.

Position location is flexible within the province.


About You:

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Graduate of a recognized post-secondary business and/or accounting program required
  • Undergraduate university degree in business administration, finance or accounting preferred
  • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years' experience and knowledge of revenue/accounts receivable cycle, general accounting or financial analytics
  • Experience in a healthcare setting considered an asset
  • Possesses a solid understanding of the financial processes and key performance indicators
  • Knowledgeable of SAP functionality for financial processes, or similar ERP/financial system, including the technical aspects and how they relate to or impact business processes.
  • Experience in engaging, mentoring and empowering teams and stakeholders in a collaborative, participative manner to respond to the mission, vision, goals and objectives of an organization
  • Teamoriented with ability to work on multiple projects at once
  • Excellent collaboration, verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills; demonstrated ability to manage projects, ability to prioritize workload, meet timelines, and work effectively under pressure with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Advanced Excel Skills
  • Strong analytical, strategic problem solving and conceptual thinking skills
  • Demonstrated ability to create and maintain excellent customer service
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage relationships
  • Efficiently can delegate issues to the team members
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Compensation and Incentives:

$ $38.85 Hourly
