- This position is to prepare for an upcoming retirement within the company.
- The role requires three months of training during the morning shift (Monday to Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm).
- Following training, you will move to the afternoon shift (Monday - Thursday, 2:45 pm - 1:15 am) until at least December 31, 2024.
- Flexibility to switch to the morning shift permanently is required.
- Conducts tests and inspections to evaluate product and equipment performance.
- Interprets quality standards and specifications, executing tests accordingly.
- Maintains testing equipment regularly.
- Check production documents for details and instructions
- Load window/door into test wall, ensuring the correct seal
- Build custom box as required
- Perform test as per SOPs
- Record results – inform management immediately of failures
- Perform diagnostics where possible
- Testing products for safety, capacities, compliance, and performance.
- Examining and investigating specific aspects and components of products in question.
- Compiling reports on findings and testing data gathered.
- Providing recommendations and advice to relevant stakeholders.
- Maintaining lab and testing equipment regularly.
- Discuss findings with other team members.
- Implementing changes in testing protocols as required.
- Consulting with senior management about testing results.
- Reporting any issues through the appropriate channels.
- Recommending technical and procedural additions to test processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, for the performance of all daily activities.
- Work to ensure cooperation at all levels of the organization to produce product of the highest quality standards.
- Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products, and recommend necessary corrective actions
- 2 years experience as a production test technician, product tester or similar role.
- Proficiency in testing procedures and protocols.
- Analytical thinking and abilities.
- Report writing and document analysis skills.
- Ability to work with data and numbers.
- Problem-solving skills and decisive knowledge of appropriate testing methods.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Comfortable with industry-specific testing equipment and software.
- Knowledge of testing equipment maintenance and storage procedures.
- Salary: $24-$26/hour (plus $1.00 for the afternoon shift).
- Afternoon Shift, Monday to Thursday – 2:45 pm to 1:15 am.
