As ATB's next Diversified Underwriter, you will evaluate and assess client risk and ability to repay debt obligations on behalf of the bank as part of the lending process.
Responsibilities:
- Make sound credit decisions for clients
- Partner in first line of defense for risk management
- Assess risk and profitability, maintain accounts, underwrite credit and ensure optimum client servicing
- Ensure overall loan quality and supporting documentation is within the acceptable ATB measures and identify all crossselling opportunities while maintaining adherence to established service level agreements
- Analyze financial statements, assess risk and determine which ATB products and services best meet the needs of the client
- Focus on producing high volume and quality of loans
Requirements:
- Business or accounting degree or diploma or related business experience
- Business Accreditation Level I & II or equivalent
- 1 to 2 years experience in a financial institution, specifically in financial analysis or financial risk assessment
- Experience in construction and real estate investment lending would be an asset
- Strong analytical and financial analysis skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
