Description

We're looking for a hybrid Controller for a private investment firm based in Vancouver BC.

Our client, a highly esteemed professional with vast business interests, runs a private investment firm with a variety of subsidiaries and philanthropic endeavors. In this highly trusted role, you will be a right hand on all financial matters for all subsidiaries, as well as family financial and investment management.

Controller responsibilities:

• Full cycle accounting for owners and several subsidiaries
• Manage financial matters for a philanthropic foundation
• Report to ownership on all financial matters
• Prepare annual budgets and forecasts as well as monthly and quarterly reports
• Liaise with tax team
• Liaise with investment advisors and investment managers
• Ad hoc projects for ownership, some outside of traditional financial roles and responsibilities

The successful candidate has:

• 10+ years of commensurate experience
• CPA designation
• Proven strong self management capabilities
• Proven strong communication skills
• Family office management experience an asset

Compensation and benefits:

• The discussed salary range is $120,000 – $130,000 depending on experience
• Candidates with additional experience and higher compensation expectations may also be considered
