Description

PURPOSE


The Digital Marketing Coordinator is accountable to the Marketing Manager for content management of all digital assets (websites, social media, online ads etc) for The Colonnade, Holt Renfrew Centre and Bramalea City Centre to engage audiences, enhance traffic that support the digital marketing strategy.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Web Content Management Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for content management requests for The Colonnade, Holt Renfrew Centre and Bramalea City Centre web sites in the Retail portfolio; Manages timely content updates using established content management platform, process and protocols; Active member of project team responsible for future enhancements of the Retail web platform.


2. Social Media Strategy Create and manage a comprehensive social media strategy to define programs that use social media marketing techniques. Assist in increasing "top of mind awareness", membership, loyalty and traffic across The Colonnade, Holt Renfrew Centre and Bramalea City Centre shopping centres. Establish metrics to measure the success of social media programs.

Social Media Programs
Implement and manage social media programs for shopping centres in the social media universe including, but not limited to:
Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Foursquare, Youtube, TicTok etc. Develop relationships with influential bloggers to partner with to increase our presence in the social media world.

Create relevant monthly content that can be shared by The Colonnade, Holt Renfrew Centre and Bramalea City Centre that will engage our social media communities.


5. Metrics Measure the impact of the complete digital and social media on the overall marketing efforts. Employ web analytics, competitive research and tenant insights to establish performance metrics to support recommended marketing spend.


7. Marketing Projects and Communication Participate in marketing activities at The Colonnade, Holt Renfrew Centre and Bramalea City Centre's and communicate back to fans/followers by posting and tweeting live. Contribute to sponsorship programs by adding a social media component to pitches. Utilizing Photoshop/Canva, edit various marketing materials from the centres/sites to be used in social media platforms. Assist with crisis communication situations utilizing social media sites. Creates and edits presentations for senior members of Retail team.


8. Marketing Support Plans, coordinates, and attends; exhibits, special and seasonal events in the properties. Identifies and coordinates partnership/sponsorship opportunities with retailers, community partners and business organizations to extend the marketing reach of each property. Administrative duties as required.


Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Education

  • BA or Diploma in Communication, Advertising, Marketing, Web Development or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in online marketing specifically with social media engagement
  • Ability to analyze data, draw conclusions and make recommendations
  • Avid social media useractively participating in a wide variety of social media activities such as community development and management, blogging, social book marking and commenting and is well connected with the broader social media world
  • Excellent writing and proof reading skills
  • Strong computer skills, proficient with Microsoft office (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and functional knowledge and experience with HTML/CSS.
