Description

We are looking for an experienced medical assistant/receptionist who is very friendly and open-minded and eager to bring strong administrative skills to the clinic with excellent organization, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities:

Able to work in a fastpaced environment, always maintain a professional attitude, respond in a positive way to demanding issues, and project a welcoming, friendly personality.
Explaining medical procedures to patients in a warm welcoming and professional manner.
Greet and Check in Patients and complete all necessary forms and escort them to consultation and/or treatment room.
Commitment to great customer service and teamwork.
Perform clinical duties within required level of clinical competency, according to approved policies and procedures.
Explain procedures to patients, providing them with support and reassurance.
Set up and clean up before and after all surgeries and patients' appointments.
Prepare the patient for the practitioner, including but not limited to documenting medical history, records the information in the patient's chart appropriately as well as other related matters.
Coordinates the flow of patients within the clinic to ensure the efficient use of the facility and the providers' schedules.
Ensures that necessary patient's documentation is available prior to seeing the provider.
Assists with various Medical Office Administration duties.
Ensures patients' confidentiality by following Heart Lake Foot Clinic Policies and Procedures.
Calculating billing amounts.
Updating patients records.
Scheduling and confirming appointments and followups.
Manage all Orthotics and other medical devices order.

Required Academic & Work Experience:

Proficiency in the use of computers and various software programs such as
JaneApp, Word, Excel and accounting software as well as insurance company portals required

Experience in
sterilization and reprocessing of medical tools is
required.
Previous
Medical Assistant or
Nurse is considered an asset.
Good interpersonal and customer service skills with the goal of helping patients access services to improve their health.
Willingness to learn and try to deal with challenges in the best and fastest way possible.
Assisting in Soft tissue surgery/injections
