What you'll do
- Processes accounts payable payments in accordance with policies and procedures by: matching invoices to purchase
(such as invoices, expense statements and cheque requisitions); checking invoice approvals, cost centre and authority level
in the system and LPO policy; entering payment information into system; reconciling payments made to suppliers'
statements; researching differences and following-up to discuss and resolve problems with suppliers; calculating and
- Provides a central accounts payable help desk service to BC Hydro employees and suppliers. Monitors and responds to
and records stored in various systems in a timely manner.
- Ensures there are no duplicate payments (such as aged invoices) by reviewing applicable systems and supplier profiles.
- Performs a variety of clerical support duties such as: filing and tracking employee expense claims; and maintaining
- Performs duties of a minor nature related to the above duties that do not affect the rating of the job.
What you bring
- Diploma in Accounting or Finance and two (2) years of working experience in accounts payable and cost accounting; or an
- Enrolment in the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP) considered an asset.
- Previous experience using various financial systems (such as SAP).
- Working knowledge of procurement and records management systems considered an asset.

- This is for 2 (two) Fulltime Regular MoveUP (Group 6A MOU#85) opportunities, based at our headquarters in Edmonds
