QUALIFICATIONS:

Certification in Health Information Management
Minimum of five to seven years coding experience in an acute care hospital environment
Must be a current member in good standing with the Canadian Health Information Management Association
Extensive knowledge of ICD10CA/CCI, MOH coding standards, directives and funding methodologies

Exceptional organizational, analytical and computer skills including working knowledge of Crystal report writing

Displays superior interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with many diverse groups including Decision Support, Clinicians, Information Systems and HIM coding staff.
Demonstrates effective customer service, leadership, judgment, critical thinking and decision making skills
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Demonstrates strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs, Meditech, and internet navigation.
Flexible, selfdirected and able to work effectively with mínimal supervision.
Consistent and regular attendance.
Proficiency in both official languages (English & French) will be considered an asset.
Vaccines (COVID19 and others) are a requirement of the job unless you have an exemption based on medical or on a ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code.
