Description

As a student coordinator you are under the supervision of the Director of the School, the incumbent is responsible for the relationship with the students of the School.

The incumbent meets and informs students about the programs to inform and advise them on their academic progress, the services and activities of the College.


Status:
Full Time Regular


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Advise students on programs and their academic pathways.
  • Act as a resource person for students regarding integration or learning difficulties, intervene in disputes and handle complaints.
  • In collaboration with the College, administratively ensure the followup of learning difficulties as well as support, motivation and academic perseverance.
  • Advise students and produce registration authorizations (sponsorship).
  • Analyze pathways, make plans and meet with students to explain the issues, whether in the case of a regular or atypical pathway or when they are in a situation of technical refusal (RT).
  • Manage disciplinary cases or disputes with students or teachers and collaborate with the School's administration to resolve more complex management situations.
  • Supervise the followup of study permits and Québec acceptance certificates carried out by the administrative technician.
  • Supervise the preparation of students' schedules at the beginning of the school year.
  • Participate in the organization and implementation of the preschool year and welcome sessions for new students.

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Have 3 to 5 years of relevant experience (in education, an asset) and in particular in team management;
  • Hold a college diploma or a bachelor's degree in a related field;
  • Excellent command of French and English, both oral and written;
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PPT);
  • Be structured, rigorous and have an eye for detail;
  • Have a spirit of initiative;
  • Demonstrate leadership.
This role involves interaction with internal and external clients and partners on a national and global scale. Professional proficiency in English is therefore a requirement for this role.
