Introduction: Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows Community Services invites expressions of interest for the redesign of our Alisa's Wish Child and Advocacy Centre website. As a child and youth advocacy center committed to providing support and resources to vulnerable children and families, we recognize the importance of having an engaging and user-friendly online presence to effectively communicate our mission, services, and impact to our community and stakeholders.

Background: Alisa's Wish Child and Advocacy Center, founded in 2013, has been serving the community for 11 years. We offer services aimed at supporting children, youth, and their non-offending family members who have experienced trauma, abuse, and neglect. Our current website, while informative, lacks modern design elements, intuitive navigation, and mobile responsiveness.

Objectives: The primary objectives of the website redesign project are:

  • To create a visually appealing, modern, and professional website design that reflects our organization's mission and values.
  • To improve user experience (UX) and accessibility to ensure all visitors can easily navigate and find relevant information, resources, and supports.
  • To integrate multimedia elements such as videos, images, and testimonials to effectively communicate our impact and engage with our audience.
  • To optimize the website for search engines (SEO) to increase visibility and reach within our target audience.
  • To ensure the website is fully responsive across all devices, including desktops, tablets, and smartphones.

Scope of Work: The scope of work for the website redesign project includes, but is not limited to, the following tasks:

  • Conducting an initial assessment of our current website, including strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
  • Developing a comprehensive website design proposal incorporating modern design trends, branding guidelines, and user experience best practices.
  • Creating wireframes and mockups for key website pages, including the homepage, about us, programs/services, resources, contact us, and donation pages.
  • Implementing the chosen design using responsive web development techniques to ensure compatibility across various devices and browsers.
  • Integrating multimedia elements, including videos, images, and social media feeds, to enhance engagement and storytelling.
  • Implementing SEO best practices, including keyword optimization, meta tags, and site structure improvements, to improve search engine visibility.
  • Providing training and documentation for our staff to manage and update the website content using a userfriendly content management system (CMS).
  • Conducting user testing and quality assurance to ensure the website meets usability standards and resolves any bugs or issues before launch.

Budget: The budget allocated for this project is $6000, inclusive of all expenses, including design, development, content integration, testing, training, and documentation.

Submission Instructions: Interested parties are invited to submit their expressions of interest by March 25th, 2024. Expressions of interest should include a brief overview of the proposed approach, relevant experience, and examples of past work.
