  • Design, prototyping, and modeling services
  • Wide range of finishing surfaces available including tumbling, polishing, shot blasting and thermal deburring
  • Cosmetic or protective coating equipment either through certified suppliers or inhouse

About the Role:_


This is a multi-faceted role combining aspects of manufacturing engineering and program management, with a focus on Program APQP, Planning & Launch for production readiness.

Operating in a cross-functional matrix environment with total responsibility for planning and monitoring program launches, this position will focus on timely and professional customer communication, contract review/acceptance, milestone planning, program budgets and cost control.

This position is responsible for the successful transition of new programs into production and beyond to ensure complete customer satisfaction.


In addition, this position is responsible for partnering with other departments to develop/implement new processes, improve manufacturing cells and perform root cause analysis to solve complex technical issues and implement corrective action to support New launch Programs and current production mode programs.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:_

  • Manage all aspects of assigned programs (new & existing) including: prototypes, preproduction samples, production startup, customer launch, and monitoring assigned programs throughout production;
  • Drive program management through complete product lifecycle including all engineering changes to the specific program and report on program status on a regular basis;
  • Assist in solving complex technical issues to the determine root cause and recommend corrective action;
  • Act as the primary point of contact to the customer for assigned programs, ensuring timely and professional communication;
  • Provide support to engineering department on feasibility and prepare quotes for new and existing programs, when required;
  • Organize and lead kickoff and status meetings;
  • Assist in developing schedules for assigned programs and ensure all departments are meeting timeline obligations;
  • Document and diagram processes and update/maintain SOP's;
  • Achieve facility targets and standards in safety, quality, delivery and cost;
  • Continuous improvement of process capability, process control and tooling performance;
  • Recommend development and improvement opportunities for manufacturing equipment and processes;
  • Investigate new and emerging technologies to improve quality and efficiency; and
  • Develop & create programspecific Work Instructions.

Education & Experience Required:


  • Degree or Diploma in mechanical or manufacturing engineering preferred;
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a hands on process development role in the manufacturing industry;
  • Previous die cast/injection molding machine experience preferred; and
  • 3 years' Program Management experience.

Skills & Knowledge Required:


  • Intermediate to advanced level computer skills, with proficiency in 3DCAD (Preferably ProE), with working knowledge of MS Project;
  • Excellent problem solving techniques, communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with other departments;
  • Ability to liaise and collaborate professionally at all levels of the organization.
