    About the Role


    This role will support the supplier risk team to effectively and efficiently monitor, analyze and communicate risk levels within the Magna supplier base to ensure an uninterrupted flow of supplies for our production. The Manager will work closely with other members of the supplier risk management team to support the effective use of the databases utilized in the supplier risk assessment process. In addition to working with established databases, a key outcome for this position will be to gain a broad understanding of Magna's supplier base as it applies to the supplier risk management function, with a view to developing into the position into that of a professional risk analyst capable of conducting supplier risk reviews independently and efficiently.

    In general, the Manager maintains the integrity of supplier risk platforms, databases and systems using tools and reporting structures established by the Vice President, SRM. The Manager is the initial contact with all in-scope suppliers assigned. As well, with appropriate mentorship, professional judgement, and support from the SRM team, the Manager will execute and communicate supplier risk reviews. The Manager will need to be able to handle a case load of several reviews at various stages of completion. The Manager reports directly to the Regional Manager, Supplier Risk Management.

    Your Responsibilities

    • Coordinate and schedule supplier reviews with the SRM team, ensuring compliance with global processes and standards.
    • Conduct multiple reviews simultaneously, with appropriate training and support.
    • Maintain and analyze large datasets, including data cleansing and maintenance.
    • Develop and maintain dashboard tools for regional risk management data, supporting critical business decisions.
    • Support routine reporting processes for vendor risk management performance and resource planning.
    • Explore and recommend technology-based solutions to automate manual processes and optimize data management, analytics, and reporting.

    Who we are looking for

    • Professional accounting or financial designation (CPA, CFA, MBA) with background in Accounting/Finance and financial risk experience.
    • Manufacturing knowledge, including supplier assessments, quality, logistics, trade, tooling, and processes (asset).
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
    • General understanding of Canadian and U.S. contract law, with basic knowledge of secured credit arrangements.
    • Familiarity with Compliance, Operations, Environmental, and Health & Safety issues in the automotive parts industry.
    • Strong communication skills, analytical abilities, and ability to maintain confidentiality while working independently or as part of a team.

    Your preferred qualifications

    • Secondary language(s) such as German, Spanish and or Chinese is an asset.
