TECHNICAL TRAINER & WARRANTY REPRESENTATIVE - KTM CANADA (Full Time)

SUMMARY


As a Technical Trainer & Warranty Representative, you will provide technical training to dealership staff, service technicians, and internal company personnel.

This role involves developing training materials, conducting hands-on sessions, and processing warranty claims for various motorcycle brands.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Develop technical training curriculum and materials for motorcycle mechanics.
  • Conduct handson technical training sessions in a classroom setting for dealership technicians.
  • Train internal company staff on technical topics, new products, and technologies.
  • Administer warranty and parts claims, making informed decisions on requests.
  • Collaborate with North American technical service teams, customer service, and sales departments.
  • Perform mechanical work on internal vehicles, engines, and suspensions as needed.
  • Travel to technical training sessions in the USA and Austria.
  • Complete internal procedure and product trainings.
  • Assist other departments and performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in training and development with a technical/motorcycle focus.
  • Minimum five (5) years OEM/motorcycle industry experience.
  • Teaching background preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bilingual in French and English.
  • High school diploma required, bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field preferred.
  • Education and/or certification in motorcycle technical programs and training or teaching a plus.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:


  • Superior written and oral presentation skills.
  • High technical knowledge and expertise in motorcycles (maintenance, mechanics, etc.).
  • Ability to teach in both classroom and workshop settings.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Selfmotivated with the ability to use own initiative.
  • Motorcycle driver's license and proficiency in riding according to company policies.

Dealership staff; MMI instructors; various training vendors.


JUDGEMENT/REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to recognize discrepancies and resolve problems quickly using sound judgment, poise and diplomacy. Requires ability to use judgment and reasoning skills and determine when issues need to be escalated.
