Davis performs ground-up design, development and manufacture at our Ottawa, Canada facility.


Human Resources & Training Coordinator

Summary

Responsibilities Human Resources

  • Support full cycle recruitment function, including posting, screening resumes, conducting phone prescreens, arranging interviews, completing background and reference checks and preparing/sending employment offer letters.
  • Prepare onboarding package and provide orientation for newly hired employees.
  • Coordinate new hire information, preparing new employee files promptly and accurately.
  • Coordinate resignations and terminations, conduct exit interviews (voluntary exits) and report on key trends.
  • Track HR Metrix for trends and report to management.
  • Provide overall employee relations support to all staff, assists with resolving employee issues, concerns and complaints.
  • Provide backup coverage for reception during vacation/sick days.
  • Other related duties as required.

Responsibilities Training Coordinator

  • Effectively and accurately maintain the internal Training Management System.
  • Identify training requirements and institute plan for training new and existing employees.
  • Coordinate and schedule training sessions daily, track expiry dates ensuring no lapse between courses.
  • Prepare/print instructional material to be used in training.
  • Enter training records accurately in the system and file in appropriate location.
  • Other related duties as required.

Qualifications

  • 23 years of experience in a Human Resources or similar role.
  • Completion of a recognized Human Resources program is preferred.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office and database management.
  • Experience with calendar management, coordinating and scheduling.
  • Responsible, dependable, and selfmotivated person who can work with mínimal supervision in a highly collaborative environment.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Controlled Goods Security Clearance and Canadian Reliability Level Clearance.
