This position is Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm
Responsibilities:
- Monitor the status and availability of trailers including reefer, heater, dry van, tandem, tridem 53 foot trailers and single or tandem converters.
- Maintain trailer pool for priority customers
- Monitor outbound lineup coordinate equipment repositioning
- Work with Maintenance and Safety Departments to position trailers for safety, service, risk requirements
- Validate yard checks
- Communicate with city pickup or delivery information to the local Branches across Canada
- Work with the assigned fleet of Drivers numbering between 610 communicating all local pickup and deliveries
- Monitor on time service
- Obtain PODs for any local deliveries
- Complete all TMW computer work
- Communicate anomalies with CSRs (OS&D, Late, Rebooks, Redeliveries)
- Maintain optimum utilization of City Drivers
- Validate Driver Trip Sheets for payroll and submit for payment

Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in an operational role within the transportation industry
- Excellent organizational and problem solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Experience with computerized dispatch
- Familiar with highway line haul regulations and requirements
- Knowledge of transportation regulations, tractor and trailer equipment and a central dispatch environment would be ideal
