Supporting the Manager of Seniors' Health Westlock, the Care Manager is a leadership role that supports the vision, mission, and business of AHS.

The Care Manager is responsible for the overall direction and management to ensure timely, comprehensive and co-ordinated care is provided.

The Care Manager is responsible for planning and implementing change in programs, processes and procedures in order to achieve optimal outcomes to promote quality of care and resource allocation.


Description:


The Care Manager is responsible for monitoring, coaching, performance evaluation of professional and unregulated staff, assisting with scheduling, handling resident concerns, implementing and maintaining standards of practice.

The Care Manager will have good time management, clinical thinking, able to work well independently and within a team environment to promote resident centered care.

Required Qualifications:

Effective communicator with strong organizational skills, influential skills, resident focused orientation and commitment to providing quality services.

Leadership skills, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making responsibilities, coaching and teaching and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others.

Demonstrated ability to manage change and create innovative solutions for complex and diverse issues. Ability to manage human, financial and physical resources within an operating environment.

Proven ability to foster partnerships and to achieve organizational goals within an organization and ideally managing within a unionized sector.

Effective leadership abilities combined with a strong commitment to operating within the team environment and the ability to motivate and inspire others to achieve common goals.

Ability to plan, organize and manage short term and long term plans and projects and deliver customer focused results.

Preferred Qualifications:

Current registration in a health discipline is required. Registered Nurse degree is a preferred. Understanding of accommodation and CHSS standards preferred.
