ZBrush Artist Needed – Bookmark Relief with 7 Portraits

## Project overviewObject:
Bookmark, relief sculpture on front, inscriptions on back
Front:
Likeness relief of 7 women's faces (from provided photo) on one side
Back:
Text inscriptions (names/dates/short phrases) arranged cleanly
Use: 3D print (resin) → mold making → bronze casting via lost wax
## What we need you to do
- Design the bookmark base to specified size and proportions (we'll confirm exact dimensions, e.g., approx. 180 mm long × 40 mm wide × 3 mm thick).
- 2 copies of bookmark for a single casting arranged with a sprue at bottom and at top
- Sculpt 7 women's faces in relief in ZBrush using our reference photos. Likeness and recognizable features are important, but we are open to some artistic stylization.
- Arrange the faces in a clear, harmonious composition on the front (we'll discuss layout ideas with you).
- Add inscriptions on the back (provided text), with legible raised or recessed lettering suitable for bronze at final size.
- Prepare the final model as watertight and 3D print ready for lost wax casting.
- Primary tool: ZBrush
- Deliverables:
- ZTL (ZBrush source file) with organized subtools
- High resolution STL and/or OBJ ready for 3D printing
- Decimated version if needed for printing/slicing
- Model must be:
- Watertight, manifold, and suitable for resin 3D printing
- Designed with bronze casting in mind (no problematic thin areas, manageable undercuts, sufficient relief depth and text thickness for readability)
- Reference photo of the 7 women, see attached
- Exact bookmark dimensions and approximate relief depth
- Exact inscription text and preferred layout guidance
- Notes on foundry/printing constraints if needed
- Strong portfolio of ZBrush work showing:
- Portrait/likeness sculpting (faces/head busts)
- Relief work or jewelry/medal/coin style designs
- Models that have been 3D printed and/or cast (miniatures, jewelry, medals, etc.)
- Understanding of the practical requirements of 3D printing and metal casting (minimum thickness, text size, cleanup considerations).
- Timeline: Please indicate how long you estimate from project start to final files, including 2–3 rounds of review.
- Budget: Please provide your fixed price quote for the entire project and note your hourly rate for any future adjustments.
Please include the following in your proposal:
- A brief note about your experience with:
- ZBrush relief/portrait work
- Print ready models and any casting experience
- Links to 3–5 relevant portfolio pieces (especially portrait reliefs, jewelry, medals, or miniatures prepared for 3D printing).
- A short description of your typical workflow for:
- Initial concept/composition
- Likeness refinement
- Preparing print ready files
- An estimated timeline and fixed price quote.
Optional but appreciated:
- Screenshots or examples of a previous project that went from ZBrush → 3D print → metal casting.
Contract duration of less than 1 month.
