Job description
We are Looking for someone enthusiastic and qualified to work in early childhood education.

Must be willing to collaborate with co-workers and be part of a team/community atmosphere and work with infant/toddler age groups.

This educator will be working alongside a team of Infant/toddler educator and an ECE educator, therefore the ability to work well collaboratively is important.

Qualifications:

• Valid Early Childhood Educator Assistant (ECEA) Certificate with ECE BC registration number
• Valid first aid and child CPR (Current First Aid Certificate an asset.)
• Criminal Record Check required
• Medical clearance and evidence that the person has complied with the province's immunization and tuberculosis
• Over 19 years of age
• Three reference letter
• Experience is an asset

Skills:

• Genuine passion for working with children aged under 36 months
• Knowledge of licensing regulations
• Effective interpersonal skills
• Good oral and written communication
• Classroom management, behavioural management and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff and parents
• Punctuality, reliability and integrity
• Ability to demonstrate a sound understanding of child development as well as an aptitude in
• Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs and taking children to local points of interest
• Changing diapers, guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
• Help to prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
• Help to sanitizing, disinfecting, or cleaning toys, class and naproom
• Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and wellbeing of children

Job Details

Salary:
$18-$22 pe hour


Job type:
Part time, Permanent (22.5 to 30 hrs per week)
