Responsibilities:

Provide leadership relating to accounting and administrative staff
Supervise accounting and accounts payable staff
Maintain accounting records in accordance with accounting standards
Provide timely and accurate financial information to internal and external users
Variances are analyzed and investigated
Assist with the preparation of annual audit working papers
Participate in the implementation of software upgrades
Develop and deliver training programs
Develop and implement systems to enhance accounting processes

Qualifications:

Accounting degree
CPA or working towards a CPA designation
Experience in a corporate environment preferred
Knowledge of tax laws, accounting principles and corporate reporting requirements
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft word and Excel
Excellent organization and communication skills
