Responsibilities:


  • Provide leadership relating to accounting and administrative staff
  • Supervise accounting and accounts payable staff
  • Maintain accounting records in accordance with accounting standards
  • Provide timely and accurate financial information to internal and external users
  • Variances are analyzed and investigated
  • Assist with the preparation of annual audit working papers
  • Participate in the implementation of software upgrades
  • Develop and deliver training programs
  • Develop and implement systems to enhance accounting processes

Qualifications:


  • Accounting degree
  • CPA or working towards a CPA designation
  • Experience in a corporate environment preferred
  • Knowledge of tax laws, accounting principles and corporate reporting requirements
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft word and Excel
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
