Inspect and prepare floor surfaces for installation (cleaning, leveling, removing old flooring).

Measure rooms accurately and calculate the amount of carpet and padding needed.

Cut carpet and padding to size using appropriate tools.

Install carpet using stretching, gluing, tacking, or seam-joining techniques.

Install carpet padding, tack strips, and transition strips.

Repair or replace damaged carpet sections and re-stretch loose carpets.

Ensure seams, edges, and transitions are neat and secure.

Move furniture and return it to its original location when required.

Maintain job site safety, cleanliness, and organization.

Communicate with clients, contractors, and team members to ensure satisfaction.

Follow all safety guidelines and industry installation standards.

Requirements

Proven experience as a carpet installer or similar flooring role.

Knowledge of carpet types, installation methods, and tools.

Proficiency with tools such as knee kickers, power stretchers, seam irons, knives, and staplers.

Strong measurement and mathematical skills.

Ability to lift, move, and carry heavy materials and furniture.
