As the Planning Team Lead, you will be responsible for reviewing production orders and schedules to determine the types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products.

Your role will involve developing a plan to prioritize and sequence the manufacturing of products and overseeing the coordination of manufacturing activities to ensure that products meet the necessary quality standards and specifications.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Manage Cell Planners, Inventory Control Analyst and Engineering Change Coordinator
  • Work closely with Cell, Production and AMPS Planners; monitor parts shortage notifications, ensure production orders close out, manage ordering of non inventory items as required
  • Manage cycle count program across multiple warehouses, review inventory adjustments, monitor and maintain accuracy
  • Manages EN changes, collaborate with PM Team to ensure material life cycle is up to date
  • Coordinate and track production activities to meet daily FG/WIP/Kanban requirements
  • Achieves inventory value/turn targets via use of the IMAG and Kanban tools
  • Proactively identifies potential supply chain disruptions and risk to Systems and AMPS planning. Oversees shortterm material scheduling requirements
  • Communicates issues or opportunities effectively with supporting functions and leads resolution initiatives
  • Update Production charts (Visual management tools) and report production activities, team goals and countermeasures to management during daily management meetings
  • Review and project monthly shipment dollars and past due projections for your department to meet company goals
  • Positively manage, mentor and interact with direct reports to drive engagement and innovation
  • Manage people performance, monitor attendance, production plan and appropriately allocate people resources
  • Responsible for yearly employee performance reviews, employee corrective actions, reviewing/approving daily time and attendance, and approving time off requests.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Ability to encourage and facilitate cooperation, teamwork and pride

Professional Experience:

  • Experience managing planning, supply chain or operations functions
  • Prior leadership experience preferred

Education, Licensure, Certification, Registration:

  • Relevant postsecondary degree (Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, BEng., BA)
  • APICS CSCP or CPIM Certification preferred
