Job Description:


The Trade Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for making sure that all Trade related vendors are paid both timely and accurately.

The Trade Accounts Payable Manager has a team of Accounts Payable Clerks and Analysts responsible for the payment of scrap metal materials and freight charges.


  • Goto resource for all purchasing and Trade Accounts Payable related issues and inquiries.
  • Monitor and expedite the purchasing of scrap materials and processing of accruals with various stakeholders (Traders, Finance, Contracts Team)
  • Ensuring we are fulfilling AIM's commercial terms to our vendors / customers.
  • Report and followup on unpurchased scrap with various stakeholders
  • Act as a key support individual to the purchasing team
  • Participates and act on process improvement initiatives.
  • Review payments and associated backup prior to approval by finance

Qualifications:


  • 5+ Years of relevant experience
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational & interpersonal skills
  • Customer Service Centric
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook and Excel)
  • Ability to effectively communicate & prioritize in a fastpaced team environment
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
  • A proactive approach to problemsolving with strong decisionmaking skills
  • Proven leadership ability with experience managing change and motivating staff
  • Some knowledge of identifying metal alloys is considered an asset, but not required
  • College or University degree in Accounting or Administration fields
