This is a Project of Non-Recurring Kind (PNRK) Position. Terms and conditions of employment are as outlined in the Part-time Support Staff Collective Agreement.


Reporting to the Executive Director, Research, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, the incumbent will lead a departmental project with the goal of improving reporting on our client activity and impact at the Henry Bernick Entrepreneurship Centre.

This project has the primary goal of developing and implementing strategies and methodologies, collecting and analyzing data, and developing reporting tools using HBEC's Client Relationship Management software.


Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Researches, designs and implements different strategies for client surveys and interviews
  • Collects and manipulates data to prepare for analysis; conducts statistical analysis; creates visualizations of the data (charts, graphs, infographics)
  • Onboards, orients, and demonstrate tasks and provide functional guidance to coop students with respect to data collection and report preparation
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:


  • Successfully completed a fouryear postsecondary degree in a relevant field of study that may include, but is not limited to Math, Statistics, and/or Computer Programming
  • Successfully completed a Post Graduate program in Research Methodologies and Data Analysis
  • Minimum two years experience conducting and analyzing research results
  • Previous experience working in a lab or with large data sets will be an asset
  • Previous experience working as a student researcher or research assistant will also be an asset
  • Previous experience selecting options within a statistical software package to best prepare and analyze the data
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project activities to meet deadlines
  • Must be proficient with MS Office Suite
