Job Summary:


The Operations Manager for the Physical Security Solutions Department is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the department, which delivers physical security solutions to external clients.

This includes managing project managers, estimators, and technicians who are responsible for the installation, maintenance, and support of CCTV, Access Control, intrusion alarm systems, and Intercom systems.

Safety is a key priority, and the Operations Manager will ensure that all work is performed in compliance with relevant safety regulations and industry standards.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage and oversee all team members in the Physical Security Solutions Department, including project managers, estimators, and technicians
  • Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with relevant safety regulations and industry standards, with safety as a top priority
  • Develop and maintain operational procedures, processes, and policies to ensure that work is completed efficiently, effectively, and in compliance with relevant safety regulations and industry standards
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external clients to ensure that their needs are met and their expectations are exceeded
  • Collaborate with other departments within the organization to ensure that all work is aligned with organizational goals and priorities
  • Develop and manage budgets for the department and ensure that all work is completed within established budgets
  • Identify and manage risks and issues within the department and escalate as needed
  • Communicate departmental performance and progress to management and stakeholders, including regular reporting on key performance indicators
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors to ensure that work is completed to the required standards and specifications
  • Continuously improve departmental processes and procedures to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction
  • Ensure that the department remains uptodate with relevant industry developments and trends

Qualifications:


  • 7+ years of experience managing physical security projects, with a focus on CCTV, Access Control, intrusion alarm systems, and Intercom systems
  • 3+ years of experience managing teams of project managers, estimators, and technicians in the physical security industry
  • Strong knowledge of physical security technologies and best practices, with a focus on safety
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with technical and nontechnical stakeholders, both internal and external
  • Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and industry standards, with a strong focus on safety
  • Strong problemsolving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and manage risks and issues
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and manage teams in a fastpaced, dynamic environment
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
