Reporting to the Director, Employment and Settlement Services, the Digital Outreach Specialist is responsible for designing and maintaining Dixon Hall's online presence and marketing efforts.

The focus of this role will be on effectively delivering the Employment Services Department's digital marketing and communication strategies on a day-to-day basis to increase the profile of Employment Services in the community and among stakeholders.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a holistic and integrated digital strategy by working closely with both the Employment and Settlement Services Department in collaboration with Marketing Communications Department for digital outreach.
  • Establish and maintain classified digital content library (databank) for stakeholders partners and clients.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team to ensure smooth functioning of the Employment Services Department's Google Site, social media graphics, social media presence across all platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok)
  • Guide and participate in the development of social media and marketing materials, flyers, brochures, web pages and press releases. Ensuring smooth collaboration with the Marketing and Communications team for posting schedules.
  • Attain reports from the Marketing and Communications team.
  • Review the digital outreach products digital outreach products of other organizations (e.g., clients, sector organizations, corporate partners) for content that may intersect with the mandate of Dixon Hall Employment Services; Monitor industry news and identify engagement opportunities in the broader social media landscape.
  • Work with Marketing Communications to prepare monthly digital reports for the department by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data related to social media, website traffic and ecommunications. Define and track key social media engagement KPIs.
  • Provide consistent updates for marcomms to publish new content and assets to the Dixon Hall Employment Services Google site.
  • Support Employment and Settlement Services events such as job/career fairs, trainings, workshops, conferences, networking events.
  • Work closely with the team and client groups to discover and develop personal client stories and write content to build up an Employment Services "story bank" for digital and print communications, including related assets such as photos and videos.
  • Review and analyze data and meet with client groups to gain deeper understanding of the need and priorities of the potential client groups to develop informed outreach strategies.
  • Work as a liaison between Dixon Hall's Marketing Communication team and Employment and Settlement Services to ensure that all branding and guidelines are followed.
  • Actively participate in department and Dixon Hall meetings and events, including after business hours
  • Work within policies and procedures, including the Mission, Vision and Values of Dixon Hall.
  • Meet and report back regularly to the manager/supervisor to discuss individual, team and program effectiveness.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Preference given to a minimum of 3 years in digital marketing in the notforprofit sector.
  • A professional portfolio of digital marketing work, including metrics on how your work impacted the organization done to date, including samples of social media posts, and content development across several platforms
  • LinkedIn; Facebook; Instagram, etc.
  • Extensive experience with Google Ads campaigns; LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram Advertising
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, working knowledge of front and backend web designing, including content management systems
  • Demonstrated success developing and maintaining effective working relationships with community organizations and major stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal English language communication skills with a strong ability to exchange knowledge; fluency in additional languages will be considered an asset.
  • Must be qualified to work in Canada legally for the employer.
