Kitchen Help/Dishwasher Position Available
Kennedy Catering Corp. is seeking a reliable individual to join our team as
Kitchen Help/Dishwasher for a seasonal contract spanning June to
September 2024. This position is based at a Kids Summer Camp in the
picturesque Lake of Bays, Muskoka, Ontario.
We are searching for an outgoing and diligent team member with previous
experience in a similar role. Monthly Compensation varies based on
experience:
● Entry Level Dishwasher: $2500-$2600
● Experienced Dishwasher: $2600-$2700
● Lead (Supervisor) Dishwasher: $2700-$2800
Housing and meals are included as part of the compensation package
throughout the entire duration of the Kitchen Help/Dishwasher contract at
no extra cost.
We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join
our team as a Dishwasher. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in
maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring the
smooth flow of operations.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
● Operate industrial dishwashing equipment to clean dishes, utensils,
and kitchen equipment.
● Ensure all dishes and kitchenware meet sanitation and quality
standards.
● Assist in basic food preparation tasks during non-peak hours.
● Keep kitchen and work areas clean, including floors, walls, and
equipment.
● Dispose of kitchen waste and recyclables in accordance with
company procedures.
● Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies as needed.
● Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain a well-organized and
efficient workspace.
● Ensure the dining room is set for meal service, including arranging
water jugs, plates, and appropriate cutlery for the designated meal.
Additionally, maintain a clean coffee station with well-organized
cups.
● Complete all tasks and cleaning checklists in a timely manner,
ensuring that they are reviewed and approved by the supervisor or
chef before concluding a shift
Qualifications:
● Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-stress
situations.
● Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining
cleanliness standards.
● Knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation practices.
● Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
● Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy
objects.

Skills:
● Salad bar preparation and service for lunch and dinner, including
cutting fresh vegetables and lettuces and creating compound
salads.
● Maintaining a clean and sanitary salad/juice preparation area.
● Managing the dishwashing area, monitoring chemical usage and
maintaining appropriate levels.
● Daily kitchen cleaning.
● Assisting in food preparation during periods with no dishes or
cleaning tasks.
