Job Summary:

The Support Staff Manager role is a full-time, seasonal position based at the Host Hut during the summer.

With a focus of on-the-floor responsibilities, this role involves overseeing scheduling, assisting in staff onboarding and training, and actively managing peak and off-peak hours to achieve set goals.


Responsibilities:



  • Peak Hour Responsibilities:_
  • Responsible for the overall performance of frontofhouse support staff
  • Manage the flow of traffic into the restaurant
  • Maintain effective communication channels with other restaurant departments.
  • Collaborate with the Guest Services Manager and other managers to ensure seamless operations.
  • Responsible for handling and responding to all missed calls and messages, ensuring prompt and effective communication with customers and addressing their inquiries or requests.
  • Maintaining a shared call log of all missed calls
  • Assume ownership and oversight of the restaurant's takeout operations, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional customer service for all takeout orders

Peak Hour Responsibilities:
_

  • Collaborate with the Assistant F&B Manager to create and manage support staff schedules.
  • Participate in the onboarding and training of support staff members.
  • Oversee inventory counts and control for support staffrelated supplies.
  • Coordinate with relevant parties to ensure timely restocking of necessary items.
  • Maintain menu quality through replenishment, restocking, and cleaning
  • Ensure an appropriate amount of rollups required at any time

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Cover Snack Shack in the absence of the Snack Shack Employee
  • Assist in covering other areas during peak times or staff shortages.
  • Handle additional duties as assigned by higher management.

Qualifications:


  • Previous experience in a Restaurant
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of POS, and other restaurant software is considered an asset
  • Efficiency with Google Work Suite considered an asset
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry practices and standards.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Valid Smart Serve required
